ANCHOR / REPORTER

Alabama News Network is looking for a Morning & Noon Anchor/Reporter with the highest journalistic standards to join our Morning News Show. This person will also be a leader in the newsroom and the community for the local CBS affiliate WAKA/CBS8 and the ABC affiliate WNCF/ABC Montgomery in Montgomery, AL Candidate must have the ability to deliver the news from the anchor desk, live in the field and conduct comprehensive live interviews. Writing stories for our web site and communicating thru social media outlets and posting and sharing online is a must. Duties include anchoring daily live newscasts, reporting daily and produce sweeps stories assigned by management. Candidate must represent the company at community events throughout the coverage area. At least one year on the anchor desk is preferred. Duties include reporting, shooting and editing in our South Alabama newsroom. The qualified candidate must have knowledge of shooting with a digital camera and non-linear editing. Candidate must have an outgoing personality and willing to establish contacts within the communities. At least one year experience in television news required. PHOTOJOURNALIST:
Alabama News Network is accepting applications for a Photojournalist position for the local CBS affiliate, WAKA-TV and the local ABC affiliate WNCF-TV in Montgomery, AL. We are looking for a team oriented, hard working, and multi-talented individual to cover daily assignments. The successful candidate should possess excellent videography, lighting and non-linear editing skills. Experience with HD Camera Operation and operating ENG equipment is a plus. This position also calls for previous experience operating microwave live trucks. The ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. equipment on a daily basis is required. Some college or technical school training preferred. This is a full time position and offers benefits. ABC Columbia, WOLO TV has an immediate opening for a Sports Anchor/Reporter. We are looking for a team oriented, hard working, and multi-talented individual to cover sports in the region. The successful candidate should possess excellent videography, reporting, anchoring, and editing skills. In–depth knowledge of South Carolina sports a plus. Qualified candidate must have experience with new media, non-linear and hi-def equipment. Candidate duties will include, but are not limited to, operating HD camera and non-linear laptop, editing, live shot reporting, and posting to the web. The ideal candidate will have one year minimum experience as a sports anchor.
Must be available to work weekends, nights, holidays and irregular hours.
