
Dee Jackson
Sports Director
Sports Director Dee Jackson is now in his second tour of duty here, Dee worked as a sports reporter/anchor for Metro Sports/KCTV in Kansas City, where he covered his hometown Royals and Chiefs on a daily basis.
A gradute of Alabama A&M in Huntsville, Dee played baseball for the Bulldogs and somehow managed to survive college graduating with honors.
Jackson has been recognized by the Associated Press multiple times, winning awards for Best Sports Story, Best Sports Feature and Best Sports Anchor.
Since moving back to Montgomery, Dee has been named as "One of the River Region's Brightest" by one local publication, and voted as one of the top 50 Most Influential individuals by Spotlight Magazine.
Before coming to CBS 8 in February 2002, Dee was a sports anchor/reporter for College Sports Southeast, a 24-hour regional sports network in Birmingham, and has served as a sports reporter at KHBS/KHOG in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Dee serves as emcee during the annual "Tide And Tiger Night", which benefits the American Red Cross, as well as Birdies for Autism, and is a regular guest on several sports talk radio and syndicated television programs airing across the nation.
His annual summer camp gives kids of all ages a glimpse into the world of Sportscasting; Jackson has also tried his hand as a college professor teaching sports broadcasting at Troy University. Be sure to catch the "Action" weeknights on Alabama News Network!
