Over 200 State Troopers with the Governor's Task Force on illegal gambling attempted a raid at Macon County's Victoryland early Friday around 4 a.m.

Their efforts were stopped when a judge ordered a temporary restraining order blocking them from seizing electronic bingo machines John Tyson, commander of the Task Force on illegal gambling, believes are illegal.

Fred Gray, attorney for Victoryland, says the Task Force had no right to try to invade the facility. Gray says, "They had no warrant, they had no court order and presented nothing to the owners of the facility."

Tyson requested the Alabama Supreme Court clear the way for the raid. The highest court issued a scheduling order meaning attorneys for Victoryland must submit a response to the supreme court by Monday at 5 p.m. and  Tyson, must have a response by Tuesday.

It will be after that when the Supreme Court makes the call if it will allow the Governor's task force on illegal gambling raid Victoryland.
