Man charged with rape in 2 assaults in Pike County

TROY, Ala. (AP) — Police say they've charged a man with rape and burglary in two sexual assaults that were reported in a mobile home park in Troy on the same day last month.

Authorities say 35-year-old Andre Lamon Ellis was arrested Wednesday night. His bond is set at $450,000.

Court records don't show whether Ellis has hired a lawyer.

Pike County authorities say two young women were raped at a mobile home park in Troy on March 26. They say evidence shows the same person was responsible for both attacks.

Officials have offered $25,000 for information in the cases.
