Police: Shooting of 13-year-old Ala. boy was legalBIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Prosecutors have decided that the fatal shooting of a 13-year-old boy who attempted a robbery in Birmingham was legally justified. Authorities said the shooting happened a week ago when Ja'Quares Walker pointed a loaded handgun at a couple and demanded they get out of their SUV. Investigators said the driver pulled a gun and fatally shot Walker. Police have not publicly identified the man who fired the shots. Birmingham police said that the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office has ruled the shooting was legally justified. Police Sgt.
