Birmingham firefighters battle blaze at business

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Firefighters in Birmingham were battling a blaze at a local business.

Authorities say the fire began around 4 a.m. Thursday and ripped through the Cosmos Sports Bar and Grill on 12th Avenue North.

WBRC-TV reports (http://bit.ly/LnF9OQ) that flames could be seen on the roof of the business.

Investigators say the fire started in a storage area and was contained to that area. There were no reports of injuries.
