Student accused of having bullets at Ala. school

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — A sixth-grade student has been accused of bringing bullets and a picture of a gun to a Jefferson County school.

Jefferson County officials said the student was involved in a fight with another student on Thursday. On Friday, the student brought the bullets to Clay-Chalkville Middle School in Trussville.

WBMA-TV reports (http://bit.ly/J4zkHg ) that a Jefferson County police officer escorted the student off campus and took her into custody. The name of the student was not publicly released.
