TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Work has begun on two housing complexes downtown being built for students at the University of Alabama.
The Tuscaloosa News reports (http://bit.ly/JVir1D) that Chance Partners has begun site preparation for a three-story complex on the former city parking lot site on University Boulevard. The Atlanta-based developer also began work this week on a student town house development off of 21st Avenue, just north of University Boulevard.
Christopher Kritzman, a partner with Chance Properties, says both student-housing developments are scheduled to be completed this summer and will be ready for students to move in by August.
