Univ. of Ala. hosts science education conference

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — The University of Alabama is hosting a national conference on science education.

The Tuscaloosa News reports (http://bit.ly/JasU6O ) that the two-day conference starts Monday at the Bryant Conference Center.

Among the highlights will be a presentation on a six-year study examining undergraduate science education. The project's goal was to examine the effects of retooled undergraduate entry-level science courses that differed from traditional courses.
