Ala. museum collecting items for tornado exhibitHUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) — The U.S. Weather Service is collecting artifacts and other items to create an interactive exhibit about the April 2011 tornadoes. The Huntsville Times reports (http://bit.ly/KlINZK ) that the new exhibit will be at Sci-Quest, Hands-On Science Center in Huntsville. The center is asking the public to donate any items found after the tornado outbreak that killed 253 people across Alabama and left thousands more homeless. The exhibit will include a detailed timeline of the storms, interactive activities and a memory wall. For more information, contact sr-hun.webmaster(at)noaa.gov with a photo and description of how the item was found.
