Man accused of raping girls more than a decade agoMOULTON, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say a 43-year-old Moulton man is facing rape charges involving two female family members who say they were attacked more than a decade ago. The Decatur Daily reports (http://bit.ly/MfINKc) that two women, who were in their early teens at the time, say they were sexually assaulted by Ray Lilburn Duncan. Duncan faces first- and second-degree rape charges in both cases. He was arrested Friday and later released from the Lawrence County Jail on $70,000 bail. Duncan couldn't be reached at his home, and it wasn't known whether he has an attorney. Lawrence County sheriff's Capt. Tim McWhorter said one of the woman reported that she was raped in 1999 at a home near Moulton. McWhorter said the women couldn't come forward at the time, but did so after they were grown. ___ Information from: The Decatur Daily, http://www.decaturdaily.com/decaturdaily/index.shtml |
