Police seek help in death of woman shot on streetMOBILE, Ala. (AP) — Authorities in Mobile say they need help solving the slaying of a woman who was shot to death after yelling at a speeding car to slow down. Police Chief Michael T. Williams says officers don't have much to go on in the slaying of Wendy Fisher. He's hoping someone who was in the car and didn't fire the fatal shot will come forward and talk to investigators. Authorities say Fisher was outside her home on Saturday evening when she yelled at a driver to slow down in the neighborhood. A man got out and fired at Fisher, killing the mother of two. Fisher's teenage daughter says her mother was worried a car would hit their dog. The police chief says officers have only a vague description of the vehicle. |
