2 arrested after police chase through 3 countiesMONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A Pike County man and another person have been arrested after a high-speed chase that spanned three counties. WAKA-TV reports that a dozen officers were involved in a chase Friday of 32-year-old Daniel Carswell, lasting more than an hour and covered 160 miles with speeds exceeding 100 mph. Police say Carswell and his passenger were being held at the Troy City Jail. Sgt. Benny Scarbrough says the pursuit started in Troy after police tried pulling Carswell over. Scarbrough says Carswell was wanted for stealing property from a resident on Kelly Road. Scarbrough says Carswell took police through Pike, Bullock and Montgomery County. No charges yet for the passenger. Carswell faces theft first degree, alluding police and reckless driving charges.
