GORDON, Ala. (AP) — Authorities in southeast Alabama say a drug bust netted investigators $300,000 worth of marijuana.

The Dothan Eagle reports (http://bit.ly/Nw9o75 ) the pot plants were seized from a mobile home in Gordon near the Alabama-Georgia state line. Sheriff Andy Hughes said Friday that a "large majority" of the home was dedicated to growing marijuana indoors using artificial lights.

The sheriff says his investigators seized 238 pot plants that ranged from a few inches to 6 feet tall.

The man who lives in the mobile home, 41-year-old Steven Craig Hooven, was jailed on marijuana trafficking charges. Bail was set at $250,000.

It was unknown if Hooven had hired an attorney.
