Ala man gets 20 years in abuse of twin sons


PRATTVILLE, Ala. (AP) — A judge has sentenced an Elmore County man to 20 years in prison for the abuse of his twin sons.

The judge sentenced 22-year-old Mohamad Osman of Deatsville on Thursday following his convictions on charges of child abuse.

The Montgomery Advertiser ( ) reports that evidence showed the man's young sons had multiple fractures by the time they were 2 years old.

The twins' mother also was arrested and his awaiting trial on abuse charges.

The children now live with their grandparents. They are 3 years old and have recovered from their injuries.
