Suspect guilty of assault in Montgomery shooting
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A Montgomery County jury has found one of seven people charged in a shooting at a local park guilty of seven counts of assault.
The Montgomery Advertiser reports (http://on.mgmadv.com/V6lTbm) that Ladarrin McCall is the first of the seven defendants to be tried after the shootings, which wounded three children and five adults at Oak Park. The gunfire happened during a reunion of people who had lived at Trenholm Court in September 2011.
McCall is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 21
Police have said the shooting stemmed from an ongoing dispute.
