Ala Farmers Federation meeting in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Gov. Robert Bentley and Republican political strategist Karl Rove are both addressing the Alabama Farmers Federation at its annual meeting in Montgomery.

The organization's 91st annual gathering begins Sunday afternoon with an address by the governor.

Rove will speak Monday, along with the president of the American Farm Bureau.

The federation has some 380,000 members statewide. About 500 voting delegates will select a new president on Monday to replace Jerry Newby, who isn't seeking re-election.
