1 killed, 1 wounded in Birmingham shooting

BROOKSIDE, Ala. (AP) — One person has been killed and another wounded in a shooting that reportedly happened in Birmingham.

Police learned of the shooting when a car pulled up to Brookside City Hall on Friday night. Al.com (http://bit.ly/TLoICl ) reports that police discovered that two people inside the vehicle had been shot.

The survivor told authorities that the shooting happened at a convenience store in Birmingham.

The names of the victims were not immediately released.
