Suspect in Ala. murder case dies in Miss.


BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — A man charged in an Alabama murder case has died awaiting extradition in Mississippi.

Shelby County Sheriff Chris Curry told WBMA-TV ( ) that 30-year-old Lamario Brown was taken into custody in Mississippi. A warrant charging him in the September murder of 52-year-old William David Moore was then obtained by Shelby County authorities.

Law enforcement officials said they were notified Dec. 5 that Brown had died from medical complications while being held in Mississippi.

Curry said he was confident no one else was involved in Moore's death.
