3 sentenced in Ala. carjacking, kidnapping case
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Three people have been sentenced on charges stemming from a carjacking and kidnapping in May of 2011.
Officials in the U.S. Attorney's office say 26-year-old Joshua Gilley, of Enterprise has been sentenced to 46 months in prison and 25-year-old Westley Rogers, of Ozark, has been sentenced to 32 month in prison after pleading guilty to carjacking. Authorities say 37-year-old Melissa McGee, of Daleville, has been sentenced to 210 months in prison after pleading guilty to kidnapping.
Authorities say the men assaulted and carjacked a couple McGee lured to a rural area and drove off with the couple's three young children. Authorities say after the carjacking, two of the couple's children were left on a driveway in Black, Ala. and McGee took the couple's 2-month-old baby to Dothan.
