5 arrested in Ala. in theft from police car


DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) — Police in Dothan say five people have been arrested for breaking into an unmarked police car and stealing tactical gear.

The Dothan Eagle (http://bit.ly/WXG3EV ) Thursday reported the break-in unfolded Jan. 18 and two tactical vests, ammunition, gas mask filters and more were stolen from the car — which was parked at an officer's house.

Officials say 22-year-old Anthony Little and 19-year-old David Woodham are charged with possession of a destructive device, receiving stolen property and breaking and entering of a motor vehicle.

Authorities say Cody Haney, Courtney Kassander and Briana Landry — all of whom are 18 — are charged with possession of a destructive device and receiving stolen property.

Little and Woodham are being held on $750,000 bond and Haney, Kassander and Landry are being held on $500,000 bail.
