BAILEYTON, Ala. (AP) — A trial has been scheduled for a man accused of fatally stabbing his wife in her neck last year.
The Cullman Times (http://bit.ly/X93TO6) reports 48-year-old Michael Wayne Lindsay was indicted in the March 15, 2012 death of 31-year-old Tammy Lynn Lindsay. Police have said the man stabbed his wife shortly after being released from a Walker County mental health facility. The man is scheduled to appear in Cullman County Circuit Court March 4.
The newspaper reports Lindsay's wife successfully petitioned a judge to order her husband to undergo psychological treatment, and the judge did not authorize the man's release from the hospital.
Lindsay is being held on $100,000 bond in the Cullman County jail. It is unclear if he has a lawyer.
Baileyton is about 35 miles south of Huntsville.
