JASPER, Ala. (AP) — A Jasper police officer is recovering from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident.
Jasper Police Chief Connie Rowe tells WBRC-TV (http://bit.ly/11hEyV5) that Jasper police Lt. Justin Tidwell collided with a Lexus Wednesday afternoon while responding to a call
Rowe said the accident occurred near T.R. Simmons Elementary at Indiana Avenue and Viking Drive.
He and the couple in the other vehicle, identified as Guy and Irene Robbins of Jasper, were taken to UAB Hospital.
Authorities say all three suffered injuries they describe as not life-threatening.
