Police: 1 arrested, 1 at large after Ala. chaseGUNTERSVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Police in north Alabama say a 39-year-old man was arrested in a chase spanning two counties and another man remains at large. The Gadsden Times (http://bit.ly/VtrKIS ) reports Marshall County police were trying to stop two cars Thursday afternoon when the chase began. Police say Phillip Pointer, of Crossville, was driving a black Ford Mustang and was arrested after he lost control of the car and crashed. Authorities say he was armed with a gun. Police say Pointer is being held in the Marshall County Jail on charges of attempting to elude police and reckless endangerment. An unidentified man driving a stolen Nissan Maxima ditched the car in Blount County and fled into a wooded area on foot.
