Youthful offender status denied in Ala. stabbingFLORENCE, Ala. (AP) — The attorney for a woman charged in the stabbing death of a teenage girl says a judge has violated his client's Constitutional rights by denying her youthful offender status. WAFF-TV (http://bit.ly/Ydu5YP ) reports a Lauderdale County judge denied youthful offender status for 18-year-old Autumn Wood, who is accused of fatally stabbing a 14-year-old girl in her chest at a party in March of 2012. Youthful offender status would have limited the amount of time Wood could be sentenced to prison.
