Ala. martial arts center to train school workers

DECATUR, Ala. (AP) — A north Alabama martial arts school is planning to offer a special training session to teach school employees how to handle potentially dangerous intruders.

WAFF-TV (http://bit.ly/UbCsri ) reports Premiere Martial Arts in Decatur is hosting a free session for up to 40 school employees.

The session is aimed at helping school workers learn self-defense techniques including what to do if an intruder is armed with a gun.

The session is being held Feb. 23 and Premiere Martial Arts plans to host additional training sessions depending on the level of interest in the first one.
