Victim of fatal crash identifiedBRIMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Authorities have identified the driver of an SUV involved in an early morning crash in Birmingham. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified the driver as 58-year-old Elaine Rollins Peterson of Homewood. WBRC-TV (http://bit.ly/XmZFGR ) reports Peterson is listed as an exceptional education teacher at Center Point Elementary School. The accident occurred at Highway 79 and Pawnee Road. Peterson's vehicle struck a service truck in the rear, flipped and landed on the median. No other injuries were reported.
