MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A summary of action in the Alabama Legislature on Thursday, the ninth legislative day:
—Joined the Senate in giving final approval to a school flexibility bill that also includes tax credits for parents who move their children from failing public schools to private schools. Goes to governor, who said he will sign it.
—Passed a bill that merges several state law enforcement agencies into one organization. Goes back to Senate.
—Approved a bill to consolidate administrative functions at the Legislature. Goes to House.
—Approved a bill to limit lawsuits against Airbus and its suppliers for planes the company builds in Mobile. Goes to House.
—House and Senate meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
