Police probing death of Ala. man, 88

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Police in Birmingham are investigating the death of an 88-year-old man.

WBRC-TV (http://bit.ly/13CC7SL ) Monday reported Herbert Jolley was found dead inside his house Sunday afternoon.

Police say they were called to investigate a report of a dead person and found evidence leading them to classify the man's death as a homicide.

Authorities have not disclosed details on how the man died, and additional details were not immediately available. Police are asking for help from the public for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
