MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — A summary of action in the Alabama Legislature on Thursday, the 11th meeting day of the regular session:
—House Democrats used delaying tactics most of the day in protest over the way Republicans pushed through a school accountability bill last week.—
—Defeated an attempt to override the governor's veto of a bill to allow some teachers and school personnel in Franklin County train as reserve deputies.
—Passed a proposed constitutional amendment that would put Alabama's right-to-work law in the state constitution. Goes to House.
—Saw some Democratic senators using stalling tactics to protest the Republican majority's decision to cut off debate on some bills that were opposed by Democrats.
—Senate Tourism and Marketing Committee approved a bill to build a hotel and conference center at Gulf State Park. Goes to Senate.
—House meets at 1 p.m. Tuesday and Senate meets at 2 p.m. .
