Police probe shooting death of man in Birmingham

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Police are investigating the shooting death of a Birmingham man over the weekend.

Police tell WBRC-TV (http://bit.ly/ZijXS1) that officers found the man Sunday afternoon in the street on Jackson Avenue Southwest, suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police identified the victim as 25-year-old Remad Lamar Chiles of Birmingham.
