2 arrested in death of missing Alabama man
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Two men have been charged with capital murder in the death of 54-year-old Floyd Thomas Carlee.
Jefferson County Sheriff's Spokesman Randy Christian says Carlee, of McCalla, was reported missing to Bessemer Police by relatives in late July. A man fishing in the Warrior River found the man's body March 20 and called police. Authorities determined the man had been beaten and robbed at a mobile home park before his body was moved to the river.
Authorities say 24-year-old Corey Steven Clark, of Bessemer, and 28-year-old Christopher Lee Baughn, of Hueytown, plotted the assault and were arrested earlier this week.
Both are being held in the Jefferson County jail without bond and Christian says there will likely be additional arrests.
