WELINGTON, Ala. (AP) — Two motorcyclists have been arrested in a pursuit that left a third biker dead in eastern Alabama.

Sheriff's officials say an officer tried stopping three speeding motorcycles Wednesday on I-20 in Oxford when they fled. Authorities saw the same motorcycles again about 20 miles away in Wellington Thursday and said they were missing tags and registration information.

A sheriff's deputy tried stopping them and they fled. Authorities say one of the motorcyclists crashed in Gadsden and later died. The motorcyclist's identity has not yet been released. Officials say the motorcycle was reported stolen from Birmingham.

Officials say 20-year-old Andrew Byrd of Birmingham, and 20-year-old Radarius Burnett of Ensley were arrested for attempting to elude police and had outstanding warrants in Jefferson County. It's unclear if they have attorneys.
