House fire in Albertville being investigated

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say they're investigating a house fire in north Alabama that may have been intentionally set.

The Sand Mountain Reporter reports (http://bit.ly/ZTYn4k ) the blaze caused damage throughout the house in Albertville, about 45 miles southeast of Huntsville. Three fire engines, a ladder truck and 20 firefighters were dispatched to extinguish the fire on Edmondson Street.

Albertville Fire Marshal Westley Bynum says the cause of the fire is still under investigation but authorities suspect it may have been arson.

Bynum says one person was inside the house when the fire started Tuesday but managed to escape with no injuries.
