Birmingham car show features eco-cars
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Don't bother shopping for gas guzzlers at this Birmingham car show.
The city on Sunday is hosting Eco-Wheels 2013, its first exhibition of green cars.
Al.com reports (http://bit.ly/11K61jq) the free event organized by My Green Birmingham will feature hybrids as well as vehicles powered by natural gas and electricity. Models being displayed include the Toyota Prius, the Chevy Volt and the electric Tesla Model S.
Car dealers, industry experts and staffers for environmental groups will be on hand. The event will also have food, live music and free emission testing for those whose cars and trucks still burn old-fashioned gasoline.
