Crews in north Ala. rescue man trapped in truck

HARVEST, Ala. (AP) — Emergency crews in north Alabama have rescued a man who was trapped in his truck for several days.

WAFF-TV reports (http://bit.ly/12b30u6 ) that the man was alive and communicating with rescue workers as they freed him around noon Tuesday. The television station reports the man's truck got stuck under a small bridge near the Limestone Correctional Facility at some point over the weekend.

Workers with the correctional facility spotted the truck in a ditch as they were putting prison dogs back in their vehicle after a walk in the area.

The man was flown to the hospital. His name and condition weren't immediately released.
