Man charged with murder after fight over movies
ATHENS, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say a man accused of stabbing his cousin to death in a New Year's Eve argument over borrowed action movies has been formally charged with murder.
The News-Courier reports (http://bit.ly/10z8LU5 ) that 35-year-old Kenny Dewayne Adams was recently indicted on the charge by a Limestone County grand jury.
Adams is accused of stabbing 34-year-old Yancey Metz Foster in the chest with a pocketknife at Foster's mobile home west of Athens.
Limestone County District Attorney Brian Jones said that at the time of the killing, Adams was intent on retrieving two DVDs he had loaned to his cousin. He said a fight ensued when he went to Foster's home to get the movies.
It was not immediately known whether Adams has an attorney.
