HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Police have blocked off part of a Huntsville neighborhood where they say a suspect and is barricaded inside a home along with at least one other person.

Al.com reports (http://bit.ly/10zSHg5 ) a SWAT team was called to the scene Saturday as police tried to persuade the unnamed suspect to surrender.

Huntsville police spokesman Harry Hobbs says the standoff may have been prompted by a domestic dispute. He says police were called early Saturday by someone inside the house reporting a "possible volatile situation."

Hobbs says police aren't sure if anybody inside the home has been injured.

Parts of three roads through the Knox Creek subdivision have been barricaded by police and residents were evacuated within a block of the home at the center of the standoff.
