Police chief's son charged with domestic violence
BAY MINETTE, Ala. (AP) — The grown son of a coastal Alabama police chief has been jailed on domestic violence charges.
Clarence Crook IV was arrested Friday on charges of third-degree domestic violence. His father is Bay Minette Police Chief Clarence Crook III.
WKRG-TV reports (http://bit.ly/ZQ53Re ) the younger Crook is also a police officer and has been placed on administrative leave. He was jailed on $ 2,500 bond following his arrest.
Bay Minette is located near the Gulf Coast about 30 miles northeast of Mobile.
It was unknown Saturday if the younger Crook had hired an attorney.
