Teen charged with vandalizing Ala cemetery
ARAB, Ala. (AP) — Authorities say a church video camera led to the arrest of a teenager accused of vandalizing a north Alabama cemetery.
Security footage from Sweet Home Baptist Church in Union Grove captured images of a person and a vehicle after the church cemetery was found damaged early Thursday.
The Gadsden Times (http://bit.ly/13aNuMu ) reported Saturday that Arab police found the vehicle and discovered that it contained items from the cemetery.
The Marshall County Sheriff's Office says a 17-year-old is charged with desecration of graves, theft and criminal mischief.
The suspect's name hasn't been released, but Sheriff Scott Walls says there's "no excuse" for what happened at the cemetery.
