Coroner IDs man who died in industrial accident

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Authorities are releasing more details about an industrial accident that claimed one worker's life and injured two others in Birmingham.

The Jefferson County Coroner's Office says the accident occurred late Thursday night at Southland Tube.

Officials tell WBRC-TV (http://bit.ly/14adoSZ) that three employees were moving a bundle of pipes when the load shifted. All three were taken to UAB Hospital.

One of the workers, 46-year-old Herman Johnson, died of his injuries.
