ALA woman accused of firing gun at school arrested

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — A woman accused of firing a gun at a middle school campus while her daughter fought another girl has been arrested.

Birmingham Police Sgt. Johnny Williams tells WBRC (http://bit.ly/13qex6H ) 36-year-old Cassandra Abrams is charged with reckless endangerment and will likely be charged with drug possession as well.

Abrams is accused of firing a gun outside Ossie Ware Mitchell Middle School Monday during a fight between two girls. No one was injured.

It's unclear if Abrams has an attorney.
