Indiana fugitive charged in Alabama kidnapping

LOXLEY, Ala. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a fugitive from Indiana who is charged with kidnapping a woman and her child.

Loxley police told television station WKRG the woman and the child have been missing since September 2012. Officials say the suspect is 38-year-old Aaron Massey of Noblesville, Ind. He is charged as a fugitive from justice in Baldwin County.

Police say the woman and child have been missing since September 2012. Police received a tip Wednesday night that the suspect was staying at a hotel in Loxley. He was arrested Wednesday night at the hotel.

Pending charges from Indiana include rape, kidnapping, and unlawful imprisonment.

Police say both the mother and child were not injured.
