Police: Ala. man shot dead after traffic collision

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Police in Montgomery say they suspect car crash played a role in a fatal shooting that is the city's 26th homicide of the year.

The Montgomery Advertiser reports (http://on.mgmadv.com/Z765uX ) 32-year-old Darrell Howard Jr. was shot late Friday near the intersection of Brookview and Dyas Drive. Police say Howard was pronounced dead at the scene.

Montgomery police say their initial investigation has led them to believe the shooting occurred during an argument over a traffic collision.

Police had announced no arrests in the case Saturday afternoon.
