State commission revises rates for Mobile Gas

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — The Alabama Public Service Commission has revised the rate structure for Mobile Gas, which should result in savings for customers.

The commission voted unanimously for the change Tuesday. Commission President Twinkle Cavanaugh said the average customer should save $31 annually.

The commission lowered the company's return on equity and raised its equity cap.

Mobile Gas serves southwest Alabama.
