BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — The Jefferson's County coroner's office has identified a body that was found in a Birmingham park as a man who had been reported missing.

Officials said Wednesday that they're unsure of whether foul play is suspected in the death of 61-year-old Glenn Paul Florence.

Sheriff's officials have said Florence left his son a note saying he was going fishing at East Lake Park. Sheriff's spokesman Randy Christian has said Florence was last seen Sunday night.

Authorities have said Florence's son drove to the park and called police after he found his father's unattended vehicle.

Officials have said Florence's truck was locked, and his cell phone had been left inside of it.
