Police: Death of Ala. couple was murder-suicide

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) — Police in Montgomery say the deaths of a married couple who were found shot inside their home was likely a murder-suicide.

Officials say 23-year-old Terrance Phillips likely shot himself after 24-year-old Tabia Woolford-Phillips was killed Friday night. Authorities say a domestic argument likely led to the fatal shooting and the home showed no signs of forced entry.

Police say the incident marked the city's 32nd homicide of 2013. According to the Montgomery Department of Public Safety, the city recorded 32 homicides in all of 2012.

Officials say they're unsure of what the attribute the violence to.
