Lt. Gov. Ivey to greet veteran on Capitol steps

MONTGOMERY, Ala (AP) — Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey has met with a veteran who plans to walk across America in support of homeless veterans and military families.

Marine Corps veteran Mac McQuown of Ocala, Fla. is walking about 15,000 miles to show support for veterans and their families. Ivey greeted him Monday on the steps of the Alabama State Capitol building.

Officials have said McQuown plans to visit all 50 state capitols during his journey.
