1 killed, 5 injured in Alabama interstate crash

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — State troopers have identified a woman who was killed in a crash on an Alabama interstate.

Alabama State Trooper Charles Dysart says 62-year-old Diane Horton of Dora died after her vehicle hit an 18-wheeler before hitting two others in the southbound lanes of Interstate 20/59 Wednesday afternoon.

The Tuscaloosa News reports (http://bit.ly/13JbEEw ) a passenger in Horton's car and four other people were injured. Authorities say the crash involved two cars and three 18-wheeler trucks.

Investigators say traffic was rerouted for more about four hours after the accident and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
