CAMDEN, Ala. (AP) — Authorities are searching for an inmate who's missing from a community work center in west Alabama.

Prison officials say 28-year-old Jerry Randolph Anthony escaped from the Camden Community Based Facility overnight.

Anthony was last seen about 7 p.m. Thursday. He wasn't accounted for during a later head count, and officers couldn't find him during a subsequent search of the facility.

Anthony is serving 50 years for an assault conviction in Montgomery County. He was set for a parole hearing in February 2015.

Camden is about 75 miles southwest of Montgomery.
